• 2/9/2015 - 2014 Race to Excellence Update TransNet was awarded a Gold medal in the 2014 Race to Excellence through Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC), during a Virtual Awards Ceremony on January 29, 2015. TransNet competes each year as a supporting agency to assist employers and colleges with creative transportation options to address the commuting needs of their employees and students, which was our focus and achievement again in 2014. This was TransNet's fourth year in the competition, receiving a Silver medal in 2011, and a Gold medal in 2012, 2013, and now in 2014. 
  • 2/9/2015 - Inclement Weather Alert System Update TransNet performed a dry run (no pun intended) of its new electronic transportation alert system during the inclement weather event on Tuesday, January 27th. The email alerts were sent early Tuesday morning to all Business Partners and Program Directors currently subscribed to receive the alerts. The alert offers recipients the ability to select a specific service provider or area of the County to view the delays, cancellations, and special schedules for the day.   • 2/9/2015 - A Bittersweet Farewell To A Long Standing Member Of TransNet's Board Of Directors TransNet recently learned that we will sadly be losing a long standing Board Member, Leo Bagley, due to a happy and exciting opportunity. He has accepted the position of Special Assistant to the new Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation, Leslie Richards and therefore, has resigned from his position as Assistant Director of the Montgomery County Planning Commission where he has worked for more than 29 years. Leo has served on the TransNet Board of Directors for 26 years, and as Secretary/Treasurer for most of that time. He has provided invaluable support and assistance during his tenure with TransNet.
