• 7/7/2015 - Two Drivers Represent TransNet and Partners at the National Roadeo in Tampa Krista Prentice of Bux-Mont Transportation and James Downam of Norristown Transportation joined TransNet's Operations and Training Manager, Maria Church, on the journey to Tampa, Florida to compete in the 2015 Community Transportation Roadeo. Maria, who serves on the CTAA (Community Transportation Association of America) Roadeo Committee, also led 28 drivers in the minivan competition as their group leader, and participated in the award presentation at the banquet. See video here... There were a total of 65 drivers in the minibus competition this year. James was one of only four drivers who scored perfectly in the wheelchair securement portion of the competition. ...
  • 7/7/2015 - Vehicle Maintenance Gone Green As part of TransNet's commitment to sustainability, and our newest Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles, Maria Church, Operations and Training Manager, joined by five members of our Partners' maintenance teams, traveled to Rohrer Bus Services in Duncannon, PA for a five hour class, CNG Fuel Systems Service & Maintenance Training. The training covered system installation, fuel system components, how the system works, the best troubleshooting practices, and CNG warranty information. The course was informative and helpful to the maintenance staff who attended.
  • 7/7/2015 - Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan Update During the past several months TransNet has been working on an updated Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan to include our Ecolane transportation software, and a new cloud based networking solution. Considering the new cloud based functionality for both data and voice, TransNet will have the ability to communicate with our customers and function effectively in the event of a disaster or emergency.     TransNet will begin training staff on the updated plan later this summer, far in advance of the inclement winter weather when business continuity may be a concern and portions of the plan may be needed.
