  • Bux-Mont Transportation Helps to Celebrate Mrs. Fitch's 100th Birthday On Thursday, February 16, 2012, Buxmont Transportation presented Mrs. Fitch with flowers, balloons, a cake and a card signed by all of Buxmont's staff in celebration of her 100th birthday.  Mrs. Fitch expressed her thanks to Buxmont in a note where she wrote, "Wow! What a thrill when I entered the van... a gorgeous cake, beautiful flowers, balloons and lovely card awaited me.  Many, many thanks for your thoughtfulness remembering me on my speical day.  Without this wonderful service, I do not know what I would do.  Your excellent drivers are the best.  My best regards to all and continued success.  Fondly, M.   • TransNet To Host Mobility Device Securement Skills Workshop TransNet will host a two day Advanced Mobility Device Securement Skills Development Workshop sponsored by Rutgers University and the National Transit Institute.The workshop is designed to address the increased challenges confronting drivers, when transporting individuals using a variety of mobility devices that often lack the traditional securement points.The two day workshop presents and demonstrates problem-solving skills for securing powered mobility devices and allows participants to practice these skills with peers.Professional Pharmacy of Pennsburg, PA will be donating motorized devices for use during the workshop.
  • TransNet Goes Green in 2012... TransNet is ringing in 2012 with a whole new green look... In addition to the green vehicle wraps that hit the streets in 2011, TransNet drivers throughout Montgomery County will be sporting a new green and black uniform in 2012.  The green uniform shirt compliments the colors in the vehicle wraps and the black pants and shoes will complete the sharp professional appearance of the drivers.     
  • East Norriton Holiday Parade Suburban Transit Network, Inc. (TransNet) participated in the 19th Annual East Norriton Holiday Parade on December 3rd, along with many other local businesses, groups and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.  The parade route started at the East Norriton Middle School, proceeded onto Stoney Creek Road, and ended at the HillCrest Plaza, where there was plenty of food, music, raffles and many activities for the children.  This year's beneficiary from the raffle proceeds was Montco SAAC, which is a local Senior Adult Activity Center.  The total that has been raised through this event over the years is in excess of $66,000.  It was a pleasure to be part of this wonderful event.  Hopefully, Tran...
