Thanksgiving Turkey Game for all TransNet Partners to win $50 Giant gift card was a Success!

As a fun thank you to all employees for their hard work, TransNet created "Pin the Feather on the Turkey" game for all employees at TransNet and all their partners to play. For each turkey at various locations, there was a chance to win a $50 Giant gift card, which is perfect timing for the Thanksgiving holiday festivities! Everyone had a great time participating. Roman Pronczak, Whitpain Township Manager, has been a member of the TransNet Board of Directors for over two years and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer. He assists the President and Vice President in leading the Board of Directors in executive and financial matters and decisions, and signs disbursements as necessary. He also serves on the Finance Committee, Investment Committee, and Information Technology Committee. Flu Shots Provided for Employees by TransNet at Tri County Transit!

Flu shots were provided FREE for all Tri County Transit, Main Line Transit, and Valley Paratransit employees distributed at Tri County today from 11am - 1pm! TransNet gave this benefit to all employees to keep them healthy, which then helps keep the consumers healthy as well. Your health is a priority! TransNet Participated in Lansdale's Mardi Gras Parade!

TransNet proudly participated in a 62 year November tradition known as the Mardi Gras Parade in Lansdale. This parade starts off the holiday season for thousands of people every year with Santa appearing at the end of the parade waving to all, while his elves collect children's letters to Santa. James Downam, a driver at Norristown Transportation, and his wife decorated the TransNet bus in Mardi Gras style while handing out bead necklaces to all the children along the parade route. Thank you, James, for your time, effort and enthusiasm while preparing and participating in this event!

Meet the Board of Directors: Jim Tammaro, General Manager, Tri County Transit

Jim Tammaro, General Manager at Tri County Transit, was elected Vice President of the TransNet Board of Directors in 2014. As vice president, his responsibilities include participation on the standing committees of the board including the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Investment Committee. Jim assists the president in leading the board through financial and executive discussions and decisions and assumes the role of president in his/her absence. Jim stated, "Time away from work is mostly spent with my family, which includes running around with my 3 kids to different sporting events. I also enjoy golfing and going to the shore with family."

Sam Valenza, CEO of Bux-Mont Transportation, has been involved with TransNet since its origination in 1980 when it was known as Montgomery County Paratransit Association. Sam has been the President of TransNet's Board of Directors for about 8 years. He coordinates all transportation in Bux-Mont's surrounding area with his 2 brothers and sister, handles the legalities of the business and oversees day to day operations. "The importance of being a member of the TransNet board involves coordination, efficiency, teamwork and commitment. Congratulations Denise Babbitt from Norristown Transportation!

Denise Babbitt, a driver at Norristown Transportation, received the Employee Excellence Award, which includes $500 and an excellence pin, during the Employee Appreciation Luncheon! TransNet along with each partner selects one employee quarterly to receive this award. Denise joined Norristown Transportation in January 2016 and has already made a great impression by going above and beyond what is expected. Larry Freed, a dispatcher at Bux-Mont Transportation, was selected to receive the Employee Excellence Award from both TransNet and Bux-Mont during the Employee Appreciation Luncheon. He received $500 and an excellence pin as part of this quarterly recognition. Larry goes above and beyond what is asked or expected of him and he sets the tone for the day with all the rides by making sure everything runs smoothly so the consumers are happy. Meet TransNet Staff: Scheduling Coordinator, Daymon Turner

Daymon Turner, Scheduling Coordinator, has been working at TransNet for 4 1/2 years! He started on May 1, 2012. He enjoys scheduling rides for people knowing it's making a difference in their lives and helps them continue to be a part of the community. The people Daymon works with are very friendly and are constantly working as a team. Everyone helps each other when needed instead of just focusing on their own responsibilities. Daymon says, "I like working outside and taking care of my flowers, plants and yard because it helps me relax. I enjoy traveling to different places when there is time in my schedule."
