Meet the Aides Monday: Robert Killian, Aide at Bux-Mont Transportation

Robert Killian, vehicle aide at TransNet's partner, Bux-Mont Transportation, has been with the company for over three years. His primary responsibility is assisting the drivers who transport adults to their workshops. Seeing the smiles on the faces of the consumers who he aides in transport is his favorite part of the job. The best experience Robert has had during the three years would be the job itself. Robert states that the fulfillment and enjoyment you receive by helping others is the best reward. During his "free" time Robert enjoys taking naps as well as gardening and other outdoor activities.

House of Representatives Honor Roseann Strang with Citation

Roseann Strang, Persons with Disabilities Manager at TransNet, received a citation from the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania presented by State Representative Marcy Toepel in honor of Roseann's retirement after 36 years of dedicated service. The acknowledgement by the House of Representatives was in recognition of Roseann's exemplary record of service and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling future. TransNet Presents at National CTAA Annual Conference

Danielle Wiley, Marketing Manager at TransNet, and Maria Church, Risk Management Director at TransNet, attended the National Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) 32nd Annual Conference in Pittsburgh. Training sessions with up-to-date information including communication strategies, certified safety and security, innovative technology, workforce development, funding, and regulations were available. Rick Tyson, driver at TransNet's partner, Bux-Mont Transportation, has been with the company for one year. His primary responsibility is transporting children to and from school. It is important that the children get the education they need and having a driver like Rick to get them there, is just the ticket. Rick enjoys his day-to-day schedule the most, as it is his favorite part of the job. Some of the best experiences that Rick has had while on the job involve meeting new consumers. During his "free time" Rick enjoys sports, both watching and participating, and spending time with his grandchildren, especially when it is warm and sunny outside.

Burton Jones, Driver at TransNet's partner, Bux-Mont Transportation, has been with the company for six years. His primary responsibility is transporting persons with disabilities to their medical appointments, places of employment, or even to the grocery store. Burton enjoys everything about his job, whether it is having a conversation with clients onboard the vehicle, transporting clients to their destination, or just being around other coworkers. Meeting new people, which happens on a daily basis, is Burton's most memorable experience on the job. Ernie Lanzetta, driver at TransNet's partner, Bux-Mont Transportation, has been with the company for seven years. His primary responsibility is transporting persons with disabilities to the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU).
