Celebrating Consumer's 100th Birthday!

Rose Barnes, a TransNet consumer for over 5 years, turned 100 years old! Bux-Mont Transportation, a TransNet partner, celebrates Rose's 100th birthday by giving her balloons and flowers! We are proud to be her transportation provider so she can stay active in the community and go wherever she needs to within Montgomery County as part of the Shared Ride Program.

TransNet Presented at the PPTA 2017 Winter Conference in State College!

TransNet's Executive Director, Sue Kopystecki, Risk Management Director, Maria Church, and Marketing Manager, Danielle Wiley, attended the PPTA 2017 Winter Conference in State College from January 11th - 13th. As Chair of the Community Transportation Committee, Sue conducted the committee meeting informing all members of the PennDOT updates along with marketing materials and video which can be used by all to educate the consumers on the Shared Ride Program. As Co-Chair of the Safety Committee, Maria led the meeting informing the members of any updates or changes that have been implemented involving safety. Safety for TransNet drivers and aides is always High Priority!

As part of the new year, TransNet purchased warm, winter coats for all employees! These coats will not only keep the drivers and aides warm during the cold, snowy, icy days, but will also keep them safe with the reflective stripe located across the body and arms of the jacket. While they are assisting consumers during the dark hours of the day and night, they will remain safe since they are visible. Safety for TransNet drivers and aides is always a High Priority!

Tom Kohler, Director of Constituent Services and Scheduling at State Representative Tim Brigg's Office, has been a member of the TransNet Board of Directors since September 2014. Tom's responsibilities are to attend and participate in all board meetings and is also a member of the Marketing Committee. He says, "Providing all citizens with a reliable transportation system is vital to our economy and our community. By serving on the board of TransNet, I work to ensure that both seniors and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) riders can have as many needs met as possible." During Tom's free time, he enjoys working in local politics and serves as chair of the Upper Merion Transportation Authority.
